• A connection in CRM is an association between two entity records with each side defining a role (a description of each party in the connection). Example: A user connects two contact records together to indicate a father and son relationship.
  • Features: Create multiple connections for an entity; Create connections to a variety of entity types; CRM includes several connection roles out-of-box including Decision Maker, Stakeholder; Users (with permission) can create additional connection roles; Can restrict entity inclusion in connections (e.g., Employer to Employee must connect an Account to Contact)
  • An entity must be configured to participate in Connections to be available for a user to add records of that entity on either side of the Connection record.
